LIFTING OF BAN ON FIRES

 (Simcoe, Norfolk County) Except where prohibited by municipal by-law the ban on open fires in Norfolk County is now lifted.  All open air burning is now once again subject to the provisions of the burning by-law.  All current burning permits which were suspended by the ban are now valid.  Expired permits are once again being issued.

Please be advised that a full fire ban may be re-imposed at any time if weather conditions turn very dry again.  The County is reassessing the situation daily.
