(Norfolk County, ON) Yesterday (Monday December 13, 2011) at approximately 9:00 pm Norfolk County Fire & Rescue Services responded to a reported structure fire at 1125 North Walsingham, South Walsingham Town Line Rd.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames and smoke emitting from a two storey single family residence. It took approximately 1 hour to extinguish the fire.
No occupants were home at the time of the blaze and no injuries were reported.
Damage to the home is estimated at $175,000.
Norfolk County fire stations 7 (Langton), 9 (Port Rowan), 10 (St. Williams) attended.
The fire is believed to have unintentionally started on the outside and travelled up into the attic through the soffit.
