On April 5, 2014 at approximately 2:59am Norfolk County Fire & Rescue Services responded to a reported structure fire at 951 Lynedoch Road.

Upon arrival firefighters discovered a fully involved kiln that had partially collapsed. The operation lasted for approximately 2 hours before the fire could be declared out and no firefighters were injured.

Norfolk County fire stations 5 (Delhi), 6 (Courtland) and 7 (Langton) responded to the scene.

The structure was a total loss and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
