 (Waterford, Norfolk County) On July 11, 2012 at approximately 9:45 pm Norfolk County Fire & Rescue Services responded to a reported structure fire at 162 Temperance St W in Waterford. 

Upon arrival firefighters discovered heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the dwelling; firefighters battled the blaze for two hours.  No one was home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured during the operation. 

The houses directly to the east and west of the burning structure suffered minor exposure damage.

Norfolk County fire stations 1 (Simcoe), 3 (Waterford), 4 (Teeterville) and 5 (Delhi) were dispatched.

Damage to the house is estimated at $300,000. The Office of the Fire Marshal and the OPP are investigating the cause of the blaze.
